Do you wish to be a part of USG Swimming?
A social and serious swim team
USG is a swim club focusing on both social events and sporting results. Our members are at many different ambition levels, but everyone who wishes to engage in the social network can participate on equal terms. The primary goal of the team is to offer high quality training based on a social fellowship. This includes that focus is on participating in swim meets which the team as a whole will benefit from rather than the individual swimmer. But it also means that:
- there are several parties for the team members every year
- we often eat together and go out after the Friday night practices
- the team gives the possibility of finding friends to practice other kinds of sports on the side (i.e. open water swimming, running, bicycling, sea kayak...)
- it is possible to find friends from many studies and in almost all ages.
But USG Swimming has also achieved impressive sporting results, nationally and internationally. Members of USG club team have won medals at the Olympic Games and the Danish Championships in swimming and at the World Championships and Danish Championships in surf life saving. We have had several participants in the A-finals at the Danish Championships in swimming, and USG rules a number of Danish records (masters records). USG has also established a decent reputation in open water swimming. One of our proudest achievement is that four out of the six Danish people who have managed to cross the English Channel are from USG.
USG participates in the Danish Championship for Teams every year. Right now we have teams in 2nd and 4th division.
Subscription
USG offers training six to ten times weekly all year for just 1.050 kr. pr. year for students and 2.350 kr. pr. year for non-students. Passive membership is 200 kr. for a year and must be communicated to our treasurer before 31/7.
